OVERVIEW Best known for its wide angle views of Magic Kingdom from the 15th floor of
the Contemporary, California Grill underwent renovations throughout much of 2013. The
restaurant retains its emphasis on $50 steaks, in addition to many of the same excellent,
albeit pricey, sushi dishes. Schedule a meal about an hour before Wishes begins. Guests
may watch the show from their table or head outside to the balcony. It's first come, first
served at the large bar and lounge area in the middle of the restaurant, making it perfect
for drinks and appetizers closer to when the restaurant opens. Check on the second floor
for availability. California Grill is great for a date night, but kids are more common than at
other signature restaurants due to the excellent fireworks view. Kids may choose between
cheese pizza, pasta, chicken, or grilled beef tenderloin.

OVERVIEW Consistently the most popular and most expensive single-credit character meal
on property, this is the only place you'll find Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto
greeting diners tableside. Meals are a crowded, raucous affair with the monorail whizzing
by just one floor up, but kids don't seem to mind and parents are happy to take pictures of
the Fab Five without having to wait an hour in the sun. Breakfast is the stronger and less
expensive meal with all of the usual suspects, in addition to Pixie-Dusted Challah French
Toast, Minnie's Breakfast Pizza, and Pluto's Cheese Blintz. Dinner food quality is below
average, but there's a wide variety of roasted meats, soups, and salads, in addition to an
all-you-can-eat ice cream bar. Visit only if the characters are important.
