PRICES Lunch/Dinner Appetizers: $7-$19; Entrées: $13-$26. Kids : $6-$7.
OVERVIEW See the Animal Kingdom table service reviews for background info on this rauc-
ous chain restaurant. The Downtown Disney location is extremely popular with kids and
online reservations are hard to come by because only part of the inventory is released to
Disney. Call the restaurant directly at 407-827-8500 to book, or visit before 4pm when
walk-ups don't require 60+ minute waits. The Lava Lounge next door offers the same menu
without any of the restaurant's antics. The water view at the lounge is pleasant for couples,
but most families will want to eat inside where the action is.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes
West Side, across from Bongos
CUISINE American, Sushi, Pizza. HOURS 11:30am-11pm or later. DDP Yes. DISCOUNTS 20%
TiW; 10% AP.
PRICES Lunch/Dinner Appetizers: $6-$15; Entrées: $12-$25. Kids : $7.
OVERVIEW The food at Splitsville is not quite as luxurious as the bowling setup (your've
never read a sentence like that before, we bet), but it does offer a bevy of options, including
a dozen freshly made sushi rolls, a half-dozen pizzas, a dozen sandwiches and salads, rice
bowls, and more. The pricier entrées are best skipped in favor of sushi and pizza, which are
executed quite well. The nicest part of dining in this 50,000 square foot complex loosely
themed to 1960s kitsch is the lack of a wait for a table when Downtown Disney is crawling
with people. Eat outside to get away from the bowling noise and stick to beer—the cock-
tails are overpriced and watered down.
T-REX Café
Marketplace, near the Lego Store
CUISINE
American. HOURS
11am-11pm or 12am. DDP
Yes. DISCOUNTS
No TiW; DVC:
10% on up to four entrees; AP: 10% on up to four entrees.
PRICES Lunch/Dinner Appetizers: $7-$17; Entrées: $14-$33. Kids : $7-$8.
OVERVIEW Operated by the same parent company as Rainforest Café, T-REX replaces
Rainforest's drizzle with thundering meteor showers and singing birds with a massive un-
dulating octopus and life-sized Animatronic dinosaurs. The T-REX menu offers a stagger-
ing number of items, mostly of decent quality and universally in large amounts. Stick with
the lower-priced fare or chance a regrettable $30 steak. Younger kids may be scared of the
dinosaurs, noise, fire, and occasional darkness, but most kids between the ages of six and
twelve love the atmosphere. With apprehensive kids, consider a walk through the restaur-
ant before committing to a meal, or request a table near the entrance. Call the restaurant
directly at 407-828-8739 to book because few slots are offered to Disney Reservations.
