In-Depth Information
the seating section consists of only a handful of tables, and there's rarely anywhere com-
fortable to sit.
We don't care much for La Cantina de San Angel in Mexico or Lotus Blossom Café
in China. La Cantina is expensive and serves lower quality food than just about any other
Mexican restaurant, for more money. Panda Express serves better food than Lotus Blos-
som. Katsura Grill in Japan doesn't live up to its potential, but the udon and chicken cutlet
curry are quite good and the outdoor garden seating area is among the most peaceful you'll
find. The sushi largely disappoints. Boulangerie Patisserie in France offers some unique
quiche, sandwich, and salad fare, but the ordering process is confusing and the seating sec-
tion is small, loud, and often chaotic.
Overall, visiting Tangierine Café or Sunshine Seasons for lunch and one of our recommen-
ded table service restaurants for dinner is your best bet. But most guests are satisfied no
matter where they choose to dine.

OVERVIEW Themed to a 14th century Scandinavian castle, Akershus is Epcot's much less
expensive version of Cinderella's Royal Table. A picture with Belle begins the adventure
and will be available on PhotoPass, and four other princesses meet tableside—usually Ari-
el, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White. For breakfast, guests are brought platters of hot
breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, potato casserole, sausage, and bacon. Lunch and din-

with Lingonberry Sauce, Salmon, and Chicken Breast. All meals include unlimited access
to the cold bar, which includes bread, salads, sliced meats, cheeses, fish, and a variety of
other chilled foods, including traditional Scandinavian items. Kids' meals include pizza,

German buffet that features live oompah music throughout the day. Selections include brat-
wurst, rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel, and a variety of seasonal salads. Dessert includes
Apple Strudel and Black Forest Cake. The selection and food quality are both outstanding.
Service is genuinely friendly and the music is a lot of fun. Tables seat eight and smaller
