Value Resorts
Art of Animation, Pop Century
These resorts are among the least expensive on property, offer dedicated bus service, have
great food courts, and newer rooms. Art of Animation is the newest Disney resort on prop-
erty, and Pop Century is a short walk away.
Moderate Resorts
Port Orleans French Quarter, Port Orleans Riverside
French Quarter enjoys the smallest footprint of the moderate-level resorts and all rooms are
just a few minutes away from the resort's amenities, including the bus stop, food court, boat
dock, and resort concierge. Riverside is much larger, but offers better amenities, including
a table service restaurant, a more robust feature pool, several quiet pools, and prettier sur-
roundings.
Deluxe Resorts
Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian (after its main pool has
re-opened)
The Grand Floridian is Disney's flagship resort and its most opulent, providing several of
its nicest restaurants, beautiful pool and garden areas, and a convenient location to Magic
Kingdom. Its rooms were refurbished in early 2014. Wilderness Lodge is considerably less
expensive and its woodsy atmosphere and stunning lobby may be more appealing to some
guests, but its rooms are smaller and it's a bit less convenient across Bay Lake from Magic
Kingdom. We love its lush public areas and variety of restaurants. The Contemporary is a
magical space and just a short walk away from Magic Kingdom. Theme park view rooms
in the tower look over Cinderella Castle and the monorail zooms through the center of the
resort all day. The Polynesian combines theming that kids find fun and adults find charm-
ing with great convenience and strong dining. We recommend it for stays beginning after
main pool construction is expected to be complete in spring 2015.
