Mickey's PhilharMagic
Arriving at Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom's parking lot is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
across Seven Seas Lagoon. Guests arriving via their own automobile or buses from off-site
resorts (including Shades of Green and the Four Seasons) will need to transfer from the
TTC to Magic Kingdom via the resort monorail, express monorail, or ferry boat. The ex-
press monorail is the fastest because it's a direct route that takes about three minutes. There
are also more monorails on the express beam, so a fresh monorail car arrives every three to
five minutes. The resort monorail is often less crowded, but the trip takes about 20 minutes
with stops at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts first. The five-minute ferry ride
is scenic and less cramped because there's more room to spread out. Our preference is the
ferry, though the express monorail is often a few minutes faster. Guests traveling from Ep-
cot will also transfer at the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Most guests arriving from Disney resorts and the Swan and Dolphin will arrive via Dis-
ney buses, which pick-up and drop-off just a couple minutes walk from the main entrance.
Guests from the Contemporary have the option of walking about ten minutes or taking the
resort monorail. Guests at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian may take the resort monorail
or watercraft. Guests at the Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness may take a bus or water-
craft. Watercraft trips are usually slower, but more scenic.
Guest services is located on the far right outside the entrance and on the left at City Hall
inside the entrance. Lines are often shorter inside at City Hall. Wheelchair and ECV rent-
als are located on the right just inside the entrance. Stroller rental is located underneath the
train station.
If you don't have lunch reservations at Be Our Guest, and wish for them, try to book as
soon as possible for the lunch window of your touring plan. Using the My Disney Experi-
ence app to do so while waiting for the park to open is simplest.
Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street, U.S.A. is themed to a small town at the turn of the 20th century. The train sta-
tion works to block the view of what's inside as guests pass underneath. Once through, the
magnificent Cinderella Castle shines in the distance. To the right in Town Square Theat-
er is a Magician Mickey Mouse meet and greet, and the only location where Mickey may
talk to guests. Tinker Bell meets separately in the same building. Next door is Tony's Town
Square restaurant themed to Lady and the Tramp . The relatively inexpensive lunch is re-
commended, but the pricier dinner steaks are overpriced when paying out of pocket.
On the left is package pickup and Guest Services. Inside the fire station, guests can sign
up to play the interactive Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game. Five playing cards per
person may be picked up daily to help along the game. Next to it is Harmony Barber Shop
with surprisingly reasonable prices. Stop in for a fun first haircut or some “pixie dust” for
a lot less money than the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland. Also on the left, the
Emporium stretches for much of Main Street, offering just about every piece of theme park
merchandise from toys and plush to Mickey Crocs.
