American Folk Art Museum
The first New York museum built from the ground up, the American Folk Art Mu-
seum has critiqued the country's cultural history since opening in 1961. The eight-
level, innovative, skylit structure shows off a collection of whimsical, all-American
paintings, sculptures, quilts, weathervanes, and furniture.
