Case | Cornucopia Online
Gary Kendrick is the owner and manager of a shop selling gourmet
products. Gary's company began under the name Cornucopia and
is based in his hometown of Bristol, Connecticut. The store origi-
nally was a small shop in which Gary raised and sold turkeys—still
a main feature of the company. As the company grew in popularity,
Gary branched out into other fields and products, eventually mov-
ing its operations to the Web under the name Cornucopia Online.
The company has been in operation for several years, and Gary is
looking at revising the Web site's design and layout. He has hired
you as part of his Web site development team. Some work on the
new design has already been completed; he would like you to com-
plete the design of the site's home page and work on the Recipe of
the Week page.
Because of the store's origins in selling turkeys and other poultry,
Gary is aware that Thanksgiving and the holidays are a busy time for
Cornucopia Online. So, besides the HTML code you'll write, Gary
also wants you to add a JavaScript program to the site's home page
that will display a countdown message informing customers of the
number of days remaining until Thanksgiving.
