Summary
In this chapter, we talked about DynamoDB's history, its features, the concept of provision
throughput, and why it is important from the DynamoDB usage point of view. We also saw
how you can get started with AWS DynamoDB and create a table and load data. We also
learned about installing and running a DynamoDB Local instance utility and how to use it
for development.
In the next chapter, we will discuss the DynamoDB data model in more detail and how to
use DynamoDB APIs to perform the table, item, and attribute level operations.
