Figure 14.16
The sphere is moved
1 grid unit.
The cube translates on the x-
axis from frame 1 to frame 50.
Action Length. The animation length, frame 1 to 100.
Target Range. The translation range in Blender grid units of the target (sphere)
that will control the movement of the cube. In other words, moving the sphere
along the x -axis from its original location two Blender units will move the
cube from its location at frame 1 to its location at frame
100 (Figure 14.16). Note that the “Target Range” values
(movement of the sphere) must be in the positive direc-
tion (0.00 to 2.00).

This is a basic introduction to the action constraint. For a more

14.5.2 The Shrinkwrap Constraint
The shrinkwrap constraint could be more aptly named the mesh
surface lock since the constraint locks an object to the surface of
another mesh object that's set as the target. Do not confuse this
constraint with the shrinkwrap modifier. To demonstrate how the
constraint operates, follow these procedures. In the default Blender
scene in top orthographic view, add a UV sphere, scale the cube up,
and arrange the objects as shown in Figure 14.17. Select the sphere
and in the properties window - “Object Constraints” button, add a
shrinkwrap constraint (Figure 14.18). In the “Object Constraints”
