Disadvantages of staying on Disney property
• Options are limited for groups of five or more. Although Disney has added
a variety of options for families of five in recent years, your choice of ac-
commodations will still be limited. About a third of Disney resorts cannot
accommodategroupslargerthanfour-unlessyou'rewillingtosplitintotwo
rooms.

commodations.
• Depending on the resort, you may end up walking a long way to the bus
stop, or have a long commute to the theme parks of Walt Disney World.
Some of the resorts are very large, so even if your room is near a bus stop,
you may be on the bus 15 minutes or so before you even leave the resort.
Also some resorts, especially the value resorts, are further away from the
parks and Downtown Disney so you may be spending quite a bit of time on
Disney busses as you traverse from park to park or to and from your hotel.
Staying at a Disney resort may mean spending A LOT of time on busses
• Without a rental car, you'll have limited mobility. If you want to visit any
other Orlando area attractions such as Sea World or Universal Orlando,
you'll need to take a cab.
• If you have an early flight home, you'll be getting up before dawn. Disney
requires you leave for the airport three hours prior to your departure time if
you're using their Magical Express transportation.
