times, have ridden the rides and seen the shows and attractions at least once, but want to
experience Christmas 'Disney style', then by all means consider it if it fits into your plans.
It will definitely be an experience you'll never forget!
So what do you do if you truly want to experience a Disney Christmas, but absolutely do
NOT want the hustle and bustle of the huge crowds? There's still a way to do this… Shhh-
hh. Don't tell…
Disney begins transforming Walt Disney World from Halloween to Christmas on Novem-
ber 1 st . In fact if you travel during this time of year, you'll have the opportunity to go to
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in late October, plus get a taste of the Christmas
seasoninearlyNovemberasthetransformation begins.Theholidaytransformation ofMa-
gic Kingdom will be complete by the opening night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas
Party, usually the first weekend in November, and the rest of the decorations will be com-
pleted at the other parks and resorts of Walt Disney World by the day after Thanksgiving.
Don't miss the Candlelight Processional at Epcot
If you want the complete Disney experience, without the crazy crowds, head to Orlando
any time between the Monday AFTER Thanksgiving thru the 2 nd week of December
(when the kids usually get out for Christmas break). The crowds will be much more man-
ageable, the weather will be slightly warmer, and you'll still get to experience everything
that makes Disney the most magical place on earth! In addition, airfare, hotels, and rental
cars will be much cheaper than they will between mid-December and New Year's Day.
