Take the plunge into Teamboat Springs
Prepare yourself for a long run featuring plenty of twists and turns and high-banked curves
as you head toward the bottom of the run. Since the raft is round, it has no front or back so
you'll be facing forward sometimes and be completely blind to what comes next at other
times as you slalom down the mountain backwards. It's a little unnerving when you're at
thehighestpointoftheraftonahigh-bankedturnlookingstraightdownatyourfamilyand
friends on the other side of the raft. There are lots of splashes and laughs on the way down
with only a few slightly scary moments. All in all Teamboat Springs is a blast! You'll want
to ride it again and again.
Melt-Away Bay
Although there a lots of other great water slides at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park,
you'll probably spend a lot of time at the Melt-Away Bay wave pool. This one acre wave
pool nestled up to the foot of Mount Gushmore is quite a bit different than the Surf Pool
at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. It's not as large as the Surf Pool at Typhoon La-

of the pool at Typhoon Lagoon. It's also not as intimidating for youngsters- and cautious
moms & dads.
