After you've 'hit the slopes', take some time to relax and cool down in Cross Country
Creek, Blizzard Beach'slazy river that twists and turns throughout the park. Orgrab a tube
for a bit more excitement in Melt-Away Bay, Blizzard Beach's one-acre wave pool nestled
up against the base of Mt. Gushmore. Melt-Away Bay provides an experience that differs
from Typhoon Lagoon's Surf Pool. It features a series of smaller, rolling waves rather than
the giant Tsunami that sweeps you away in the Surf Pool. As with the Surf Pool, there
are also areas at the sides of Melt-Away Bay where smaller children can enjoy the waves
without being hit by their full force.
