As you board your special “SIM Car”, each rider will again scan their Magic Band or park
ticket to load their cars into the system. As with the original ride experience, the new Test
Trackreplicates roadtests performed attheGMprovinggroundstogiveridersatruesense
of what goes into the design and testing of new vehicles. The scenery is completely rede-
signed, but the overall ride experience is similar to that of the original.
Passengers are loaded into simulated test vehicles, up to six in a car that travel individually
around the track. Riders take their vehicles through a gamut of tests including acceleration
and braking, sharp turns, bumpy roads, and how the car responds to heat and cold. After
each test, your SIM Car will slow down to give you the opportunity to see how the vehicle
you designed fared on the test. The ride culminates with an exhilarating lap around the test
track including high-banked turns, at 65 miles per hour! Although the coolest part of the
ride(thelaparoundthetesttrack)isattheendandoververyquickly,TestTrackisaunique
experience from start to finish and a pretty exciting one too!
