reported by our group [14]. Acceptor
was prepared from tris(4-
bromophenyl)amine as a halogenated aromatic compound. Scheme
9.9 shows the synthesis of this tridentate acceptor.
The ethynyl functionality was introduced to make the acceptor
rigid and planar, and additionally to make it fluorescent as it
has been reported that compounds containing Pt-ethynyl group
are luminescent/fluorescent [24,33-36]. The acceptor
