ful, if misleadingly out of scale towards the edges.
The prefix 0086-692 denotes 'China numbers', which should be dialled from an-
other China-line phone ( 0086-692 numbers) to avoid paying international call rates.
Ever Internet Cafe (Sinbyushin St; per hr K500; 9am-9pm) Slow connection. It's four
blocks north of the market off the main road to the right.
Getting There & Away
At the time of writing, foreigners were not allowed to enter or exit Bhamo by bus.
IWT ferries leave from a jetty 2½ miles south of town. Fast boats leave from a pier on
the central riverfront.
The airport is a 10-minute ride from the centre of town. Immigration police will inter-
view you briefly on arrival.
A Bhamo-Katha railway is allegedly under construction.
