(Zeigyo Rd; mains from K3000; 8am-9pm; ) Almost every restaurant in Pyin Oo Lwin
features Chinese-influenced dishes, but La Yone is run by immigrants from Fujian and so
the flavours are far more authentic. At night, it also acts as an unofficial beer station.

Bay Area, this airy joint attracts many locals with its mix of Chinese and Thai dishes,
along with a few Kachin and Western specialities. Equally good for a beer; the servings

Lwin's most romantic restaurant occupies a gorgeous half-timbered colonial bungalow

tion of Thai and Chinese flavours, as well as a small selection of Shan and Western op-

( 22083; off Nandar Rd; mains from K3000; 8.30am-9pm; ) The upmarket yet casual
lakeside setting is an obvious attraction, while the menu spans Europe and a fair chunk of
Asia (this is the only place in town for Japanese if you're craving sushi). Reservations
are occasionally advisable for dinner. The waterside terrace is a relaxed spot for coffee
(from K800) or a drink.
