place with 18 bungalows scattered around a 5-acre site that feels like a suburban cul-de-
sac and comes with a mini-version of the Purcell Tower. The big, comfortable bungalows
all have terraces and working fireplaces. Efficient, English-speaking staff, Asian fusion
restaurant and a heated, indoor swimming pool.

Pyin's best midrange options, there's neither royalty nor park views here, but long ceiling
drapes create a fashionable edge to the restaurant and the wide range of rooms are at-
tractive, comfortable and come with mini-terraces.

Splendid setting,
with five of the 15 rooms inside a 1921 British-era house whose key asset is a delightful
terrace commanding a large sweep of garden leading down to the lakefront road. The rest
are well-spaced, well-appointed bungalows. It's one of very few hotels to have heating
(important in January).
