the family atmosphere, friendly service and the communal garden. Ten new air-con
rooms should by finished by the time you read this.

of town, east of the market, this tidy compound includes generally large rooms, the more
expensive of which boast air-con, fridge and bathtub.

) This place combines huge-but-plain fan-cooled rooms in the main structure and a
few free-standing, air-con bungalows; the latter were being renovated when we were in

Nawng Kham - Little Inn GUESTHOUSE $

fans, bathrooms and hot showers and are set in a peaceful garden.
Inle Star Hotel GUESTHOUSE $

acterless rooms next to the canal. There's only one fan-cooled cheapie, while the more
expensive rooms are generally huge and come equipped with air-con.
