Opening Up the Country
Four cross-border checkpoints with Thailand can now be used to enter or exit Myanmar;
there's a chance in 2014 that the crossing into China at Mu-se will also be freely open in
both directions without the need for permits. This, in conjunction with an easing of re-
strictions on some of the places you can travel in Myanmar, is expanding the range of it-
