In-Depth Information
'Premier' and 'Superior' rooms are in a two-storey condo-like bloc. Located 4 miles out-
side of town, it's not a very convenient place to stay if you don't have your own wheels.
Hotel Angels Land HOTEL $$$
( 058-21256; angel.landhotel@gmail.com ; Padauk Rd; r incl breakfast $50-80; ) This new
hotel, run by an enthusiastic team of Burmese women, boasts 22 sumptuous-feeling,
well-equipped (TV, air-con, fridge, hot water), although somewhat overpriced rooms. In-
conveniently located about 1 mile south of town, near Hpa-an's City Hall.
Grand Hill Hotel HOTEL $$$
( 058-22286; www.grandhillmyanmar.com ; Sin Phyushin St; r incl breakfast $35-85; )
Grand Hill takes the form of a suburban compound with comfortable, relatively new-
feeling rooms in both the main building and in a strip of attached bungalows. The more
expensive include air-con, TV, fridge and hot water, while the 'standard' rooms feel
small and lack windows and hot water. The location, about 2 miles east of the clock
tower, isn't exactly convenient.
