Discovering Audio Assets Using Scans

discover video assets, and apply the same methodology to discovering audio assets.
The main advantage you gain from having two separate scan processes for audio and
video (and later in this lesson, graphic assets) is that you can have different metadata
automatically stamped on the assets, and you can apply different metadata sets to the
assets.

environments where you don't have many assets, you can use the same schedule for your
scans. If you have a larger facility, it is recommended that you stagger the scheduling of
your scans so that they overlap as infrequently as possible. If scans overlap, asset creation
gets delayed until the proxy-creation events from the previous scan have finished, thereby
making the periodic discovery of assets unreliable.
Open the Administration window.
