Select the Full Scan checkbox and leave the time at the default.

A full scan not only adds new assets, but it also deletes assets from the catalog if they
are deleted from this device. Running full scans more than once a day is not recom-
mended, as they're very file system/database-intensive and can affect overall Final Cut
Server performance.

10 Select the Add Only Scan checkbox, and change the interval to 5 minutes. Leave
Metadata Set as Media (the default), and then click Continue.

NOTE Setting the Add Only Scan value to a short interval will not have a significant
impact on performance.

NOTE Transcode settings in Final Cut Server define what kinds of formats and
codecs you'd want to convert files into when you place them on this device. You can
also use the transcode settings to specify the format in which files are uploaded and
downloaded.
