2.
What are the two main panes within the Final Cut Server client application?
3.
What is metadata?
4.
Where can you access the Final Cut Server Preferences window within the client?
Answers
1.
The primary representation is the original file from which the asset was made. Proxies
are smaller, lower-resolution files derived from the primary representation of a video
asset. They're more easily transmitted, especially over a low-bandwidth connection.
2.
The Assets and Productions panes, which can be accessed from the main client appli-
cation window in the upper-left corner.
3.
Metadata means data about data. It is used to describe, find, and repurpose content.
The Final Cut Server client application has powerful search fields where you can
search for assets and productions using metadata information.
4.
Preferences can be found in the Server pop-up menu in the upper-left corner of the
main client window.
