In-Depth Information
NOTE As you learned in Lesson 8, you can automatically insert asset metadata into
email notifications. You can do the same thing with metadata from job logs. Notice
in the figure that you insert the Job ID, the title of the job, and the actual error that's
generated. Having all this information directly in the email saves the system admin-
istrator time as they will know what is wrong with the job instantly. They can do all
of this without having to log in to the client application, select the individual job, and
then look at the job logs.
When you're finished, click Save Changes to save your new email response.

Back at the Administration window, choose Subscription from the menu on the left.
Click the Create button to make a new subscription.
From the Subscribe To pop-up menu, choose Job (you are looking for a change in job
metadata now, not asset metadata). For Name, enter Failed Job Notification , and select
the Enable checkbox. For Description, enter Failed Job Notification ; for Event Priority
Modifier, choose Normal from the pop-up; and for Event Type Filter, choose Modified
(you are looking for a change in metadata). From the list of Available responses, choose
the Failed Job Email Notification response you created earlier in this exercise and click
Add to move it to the list of Selected responses on the left.
