Once the project is checked out and the Edit Proxies are cached on the local machine,
you can now open the project in Final Cut Pro.
Any changes made to the project while you're using the Edit Proxies will be reflected
in the project when you check it back in.
The project could now be checked out using the primary representations. An editor fin-
ishing the project for export, or doing other work requiring the primary representations,
such as color correction or motion graphics, could do this.
Adding New Content to a Final Cut Pro Project

direct from Final Cut Server, or by adding it to the Final Cut Pro project and then check-
ing the project into Final Cut Server. The next two exercises describe how each approach
is used.
Dragging from Final Cut Server
When working in Final Cut Pro, you can use Final Cut Server to search for content that
you can then drag to your Final Cut Pro project. There are two scenarios, depending on
whether the media is on an edit-in-place device and directly accessible (for example, in
an Xsan environment), or whether the media needs to be cached. You'll look at the each
scenario in turn.
Adding New Content from an Edit-in-Place Device
In an Xsan environment, you may have direct access to the media that you are adding to a
Final Cut Pro project. To add media to an open Final Cut Pro project, follow these steps:

If you canceled the last checkout, check out the Leverage project again. Open the
checked-out project in Final Cut Pro.
