You need to dispose of that old battery, of course, so return it to an authorized Apple dealer. Apple is committed to
keeping used batteries out of landfills.
8. Remove the battery connector, as shown in Figure 9.10.

Unplug the connector to remove the battery.
9. Plug the new battery into the connector.
10. Attach the new battery to the chassis using the nine screws from Step 7.
11. Attach the bottom of the MacBook Air case using the ten screws from Step 5.
