4. At the bottom of the Tools panel, click and hold down the Apply Color button,
then choose Apply Gradient from the menu to apply the last selected gradient.
Notice that the gradient affects each object on an individual basis. (If necessary,
zoom in to view the color and gradient.) Now you'll use the Gradient Swatch tool
to apply the gradient across the six selected objects as one.
5. With the six objects still selected, select the Gradient Swatch tool ( ) in the Tools
panel.
6. Drag a line across the objects, starting from the leftmost object and releasing the
mouse at the end of the rightmost object.
Now the gradient runs across all six selected objects.
7. Choose Edit > Deselect All, then choose File > Save.
Now you will review the document in Presentation mode, during which InDesign
is hidden entirely and the document fills the entire screen.
Tip
Presentation mode works well for presenting design ideas to clients on a
laptop. You can navigate the pages of the layout using the arrow keys on
your keyboard.
8. Click and hold down the Mode button ( ) at the bottom of the Tools panel and
choose Presentation ( ). When you're finished viewing the document, press the
Escape key.
