Applying colors with the Eyedropper tool
The diamond on the right requires the same Brown stroke and Green fill. You'll use the
Eyedropper tool to copy the stroke and fill attributes in one quick step. In addition, you will
apply InDesign's [Paper] color using the Fill box on the Tools panel rather than using the
Swatches panel.
Tip
[Paper] is a special color that simulates the paper color on which you're
printing.
1. Select the Eyedropper tool ( ), and click the diamond on the left.
Notice that the Eyedropper tool is now filled ( ), indicating that it picked up the
attributes from that object.
2. With the loaded Eyedropper tool, click the gray background of the diamond on the
right.
That diamond now has the fill and stroke attributes of the diamond on the left.
