4. Hold down the Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) key and click.
The text flows into the first column. Because you held down Alt or Option, the
pointer is still a loaded text icon, ready for you to flow text into another frame.
5. Release the Alt or Option key, and position the loaded text icon ( ) in the second
column indicated by the guides.
6. Drag to create a frame within the purple column guides in the right-hand column.
A sketch of the design for this article shows that additional design elements will go
above and below the two new columns. So you will adjust the height of the frames
to fit within the horizontal cyan guides.
Note
The amount of text that fits in the frame may vary according to the specific
fontthatisactiveonyoursystem.Inaprintenvironment,it'simportantthat
everyone uses exactly the same fonts. For this lesson, the fonts in use are
not important.
7. Using the Selection tool, drag the top and bottom of each text frame to fit within
the cyan guides, as shown.
