5. Tab into Object mode. Select the character mesh first, and then hold the Shift key down and right-click
toselectthearmatureaswell.PressCtrl+Ptocreateaparentrelationshipbetweenthemeshandthearma-
ture, and select Armature Deform With Automatic Weights, as shown in Figure 14-32 . For many simple
rigs such as this one, it is the only step you need to completely skin your rig! No weight painting, no
tweaking vertex weights.
