Spill Correction and Cleaning Up
Checking the alpha overlaid foreground image over a colored background is also a good way to highlight the
problem of color spill that often occurs when doing this kind of compositing. Because the subject is being shot
originally against an expansive, bright-green background, there is a green tint to the reflected light from the
background as well as background light that shows through transparent or semitransparent areas of the subject
such as hair. You can clearly see the undesirable green spill in Figure 9-73 , which is repeated in the color insert
of the topic. You can zoom in on the Node Editor's backdrop image with the V key to see this edge detail and
zoom back out with Alt+V.
