Using Render Layers and Nodes

in the Post Production panel of the Render properties and rendering in the ordinary way. Remember, Render
Layers input nodes are used to incorporate renders from the 3D view into the node network. Render layers en-
able you to organize your rendered scene in such a way that different parts of the same scene can be used as
separate input nodes in the compositor. Whatever information you want to be included in a single node should
be organized into a distinct render layer. Objects are divided among render layers by their placement on ordin-
ary 3D viewport layers.
In this example, the garbage matte is on layer 1 in the 3D viewport. By default, the first render layer is set to
include objects on all 3D viewport layers. In this example, there won't be any other 3D content to worry about,
so the default Render Layers setup is fine.
