3. Open a UV/Image Editor window and create a new image by pressing Alt+N. In the dialog box that
appears, enter 2048 as both the Width and Height values, and select UV Test Grid. In the 3D window,
press the A key to select all vertices of the mesh, and then press the U key to bring up the UV Mapping
menu. Choose Unwrap, as shown in Figure 2-7 . (This can also be done by pressing the E key in the UV/
Image Editor window.)
4. Unwrapthemesh,andarrangethepiecesofthemeshbyselectingthemwiththeLkeyandthenmoving
them with the G key or rotating them with the R key so that they are laid out something along the lines of
what's shown in Figure 2-8 .
