this might be. In fact, like the Environment lighting pass, the Indirect lighting pass also needs to be multiplied
bythecolorvaluestogetthecorrectadditivevalues.Thesetupforthisisshownin Figure9-32 . Asyoucansee,
once you've done this, your compositor output will be identical to the Combined pass.
In fact, this is probably also how the Diffuse pass should be, but at present Blender automatically incorpor-
ates color information into the Diffuse pass. If, for whatever reason, you need diffuse values separate from the
material colors, you would need to create solid-white dummy objects and render the Diffuse pass from those.
Node Groups
To simplify node networks, you can select a group of nodes and group them into a node group, which is repres-
ented visually by a single node, as shown in Figure 9-33 .
To do this, select the nodes by using the B key and border selecting with your mouse; then press Ctrl+G to
create a group (Alt+G ungroups the grouped nodes).
