The AO pass behaves similarly to the Shadow pass:
1.
Factor in AO by duplicating the Multiply node (Shift+D), as shown in
Figure 9-19
.
Note that when
there is no second image input, the Multiply node multiplies the first image by a solid color. If you set
this to white, the Multiply node will not change the value of the first input.
2.
Connect the output of the first Multiply node and the output of the AO socket to the input sockets of
the second Multiply node, as shown in
Figure 9-20
. The result is shown in
Figure 9-21
