Exploring the User Preferences
When you think about options and customization for any software, the first thing that usually comes to mind is
the set of user preferences available. Like most applications, Blender has a variety of user preferences that you
can adjust. The User Preferences window is a window type like any other, but it can be accessed in a separate
pop-out system window by pressing Ctrl+Alt+U. When you do this, it appears as shown in Figure 1-15 .

Seven buttons are located along the top of the User Preferences window. Each of these buttons displays a
different subcontext of User Preferences.
Interface
The first subcontext of the User Preferences buttons area is the Interface subcontext, shown in Figure 1-16 .
