11.2.1  i ntroduction
Modern medicine operates a broad spectrum of drugs to treat patients with different diseases.
However, a wider application of most of the drugs is impeded by their low bioavailability because
of insuficient water-solubility and different toxic effects.
Thereby, the development of water-soluble, low-toxic, safe and high-effective drugs is very sig-
niicant for modern pharmacology and medicine.
