Java directory path.
2. If prompted, register your Java JDK.
3. Create a system variable named
JAVA_HOME
. The value of this variable
is the full path to the installation directory defined earlier for JDK.
4. Open the Control Panel's System pane and click Advanced system
settings. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Click the Environment Variables button. Under System variables, click
New. Enter the variable name as
JAVA_HOME
.
6. Enter the variable value, as the installation path for the JDK. If you
followed the earlier direction, this variable value will be
C:\Software\JAVA
(see
Figure 3.2
).
