In this chapter, you saw how standard ODBC drivers are used to connect
Microsoft's BI toolset to Hadoop data. You saw how Hive queries are used
to pull the data into Excel and PowerPivot. Using the PowerPivot model,
you can build pivot tables and pivot charts in Excel. For even more robust
visualizations, you can use Power View to build interactive charts and
graphs to present your findings. If you need powerful spatial mapping of the
data, you can use Power Map.
This chapter just scratched the surface of the capabilities of these tools.
You should definitely dig further into these products. They will undoubtedly
become an important part of your BI arsenal.
