One of the key feature additions to iOS 7 is Control Center, which grants you imme-
diate access to some settings that used to require a separate visit to the Settings complex. But even
with Control Center, we expect to run into you in Settings from time to time.
Because we cover some settings elsewhere in this book, we don't dwell on every setting here, but
you still have plenty to digest.
Checking Out the Settings Screen
When you first open Settings, you see a display that looks something like Figure 15-1 , with a scrol-
lable list on the left side of the screen and a pane on the right that corresponds to whichever setting
is highlighted in blue. We say “something like this” because the Settings on your iPad may differ
slightly from those of your neighbor's. Plus, you must scroll down to see the entire list.
