One last thing: You might want to keep this option turned off when you're not using it
— it's a notorious battery hog. You can always use Control Center (swipe upward from the
bottom of the screen) to quickly enable it when you need it.
If you use a Mac computer, you're probably familiar with an OS X feature that carries
the same name and operates similarly. But with the iOS 7 version of AirDrop, unlike the ver-
sion on the Mac, folks can transfer files even if they don't share the same wireless network.
And the two AirDrop implementations do not interact, at least as the time of this writing.
