1. Use calculator c8-1, inserting the applicable value from
Table 8-2 to calculate the volume of the pipeline and,
thus, the volume of 25 mg/L chlorine solution needed to
fill the pipeline. Prepare the needed volume (make 25%
extra volume to cover spillage, etc.) using Table 8-1.
2. Calculate the amount of chlorine chemical needed using
calculator c8-2 and inserting the volume from c8-1 above
and the chemical per unit volume shown in Table 8-3.
