the Keyboard Shortcuts tab, and select Services on the left. Then, to prune
the file-browsing right-click menu, look under the Files and Folders heading

To prune the menu that appears when you right-click text, look for entries
in the rest of the list under the various other headings in the list on the right
of the System Preferences window, with particular reference to the entries
under the Text heading.
Tip 300
Quit Finder
You can quit all applications except one: Finder. Finder is designed to always
be running, and with good reason—it's responsible for displaying files on the
desktop. Quit Finder, and all the desktop icons will disappear. However, there
are certain instances when it's useful to quit Finder. Some of the tips in this
book require you to restart Finder, for example, although we use the KILLALL
FINDER command, which is a quick and dirty way of doing so within a Terminal
window.
Adding a Quit Option
To add a Quit option to the File menu of Finder's application menu, all you
need to do is enter the following line within a Terminal window (open Finder,
select the Applications list, and then double-click Terminal in the UTILITIES
folder):
DEFAULTS WRITE COM.APPLE.FINDER QUITMENUITEM -BOOL TRUE;KILLALL FINDER
Starting Finder again once you've quit is easy—just click its icon in the Dock.
Removing the Quit Option
To remove the Quit menu option, open a Terminal window, and type the
following:
DEFAULTS DELETE COM.APPLE.FINDER QUITMENUITEM;KILLALL FINDER
