In-Depth Information
You don't have to select all the events. You can also hold down COMMAND and
click some of the events to select them individually, which you can then copy
and paste into an email/document/instant message as described earlier.
Tip 206
Boot via an Apple Remote
If you use your Mac's Bootcamp feature to install Windows alongside OS X,
you might already be aware of the menu that lets you choose between operat-
ing systems at boot time or accessing the repair system. Holding OPTION before
the Apple logo appears during booting should make the menu appear.
However, another way of seeing it is to press and hold the Menu button on
an Apple remote as the computer boots up.
Tip 207
Organize Mail by Color Schemes
You might already know that you can “flag” email messages in the Mail app
by right-clicking the mail's entry in the list and selecting one of the colored
flag icons. This can help you find the email in a hurry. However, you can also
make each entry in the email list a particular color, and although doing so
is easy, it's far from obvious how.
Select a message in the list within Mail, and then hit SHIFT + COMMAND + C to bring
up the Colors palette. Then select a color you want. You can choose any color
of the rainbow. Note that you won't see the coloring until you select a different
mail within the list.
To remove the coloring, again select the mail in the list and bring up the
Color palette; then select the pure white color.
