In-Depth Information
So, how do you actually maximize an iTunes window? Simply hold down OPTION
before clicking the green button. It'll then work like it does in other apps.
You can permanently deactivate the Mini Player activation via the minimize
blob by using a secret setting. Quit iTunes, open a Terminal window (open
Finder, select the Applications list, and then in the list of applications double-
click Terminal within the UTILITIES folder), and type the following:
DEFAULTS WRITE -APP ITUNES ZOOM-TO-WINDOW -BOOL YES
You can still activate the Mini Player from the Windows menu when iTunes
is active.
Should you decide to reverse Mini Player deactivation, again open a Terminal
window, and type the following:
DEFAULTS DELETE -APP ITUNES ZOOM-TO-WINDOW

See All Your Mac Knows About Somebody
By selecting an individual's entry within the Contacts app and then clicking
Edit→Spotlight, you can instantly find every email you have from them (and
to them), every instant message conversation you've had with them, every
document they've created, every web page you've visited that mentions them,
every file you've tagged with their name, and so on (provided relevant details
are contained within their card within the Contacts app—you won't be able
to find their instant message conversations if their IM address isn't on the
contact card, for example).
Tip 168
Print Wall Calendars
By selecting File→Print in the Calendar app, you can print monthly or weekly
calendars that resemble commercially available wall calendars (select the
choice from the View drop-down list). You can print a calendar showing your
events for that month/week or remove the check(s) under the Calendars
