Using tools
Photoshop's many tools are arranged in a streamlined interface called the
toolbox. To work successfully with Photoshop, you need to know where to look
to find the right tool for the job among tool groups and flyout menus, how to
access tool options, and how to enter numerical values efficiently. I'll round
out this discussion by showing you how to create tool presets that will save you
loads of time in the long run.

Photoshop has had a single column toolbox since CS3, when all Adobe applica-
tions got a UI facelift, but the former two-column toolbox is still available (tog-
gle between them by clicking the arrows in the upper right corner). No matter
how many columns you prefer in your toolbox, the tools are organized into the
same groups (see Figure 2.10).
