In-Depth Information
depth of field Photographers can either expand or narrow the depth of the
spatial field that appears in focus by adjusting the size of the lens aperture. By
narrowing the depth of field, you can direct a viewer's attention where you want
it—people naturally look where images appear their sharpest.
Vanishing point The further away objects are, the smaller they appear. In per-
spective drawings and in real life, parallel lines appear to converge at one or more
vanishing points in the distance. One-point perspective images seeming to con-
verge on a single vanishing point imply a visual journey that invites you along.
