Complementary colors Juxtaposing opposites always has an appeal.
Complementary colors are opposite each other on the color wheel (see
Chapter 15, “Working with Color,” for more information). Colors appear
more intense when shown against their opposite hue.
Analogous colors Analogous colors are adjacent to each other on the color
wheel. Similar hues, intensities, or color values work well together and create a
harmony that ties objects together.
