4. To recover the blown highlights, drag the Highlights slider to -44. To
push the tonal range out of the shadows, increase Blacks to +33. Click
the two arrow buttons at the top corners of the histogram within the
ACR dialog box to toggle off highlight and shadow clipping warnings.
5. Increase Contrast to +22, Clarity to +32, and Vibrance to +44.
6. To push the sky more into the blue range, shift the white balance by
dragging the (color) Temperature slider to 5200 (see Figure 12.6).

mid-tone saturation.

7. Press P twice to toggle the preview off and then back on. In this way
you can see how dramatic the changes are that you've made in the
development process. Click Open Image to open the developed file in
Photoshop.
Once it is in
photoshop, the
image is no
longer considered
a raw file.
8. Open the Histogram panel and see that there are no gaps or thin
spikes in the distribution of pixels across the tonal range (see
FigureĀ 12.7).
